I've seen this around for a lot of years and it pretty much coincides with what I say.some will charge for 8 seconds others 10. Press the button to light your lighter and if it doesn't light turn the screw another 1/4 turn and try again. Wait for a couple of minutes and adjust the screw about 1/4 turn. Recharge the lighter with 8 seconds of butane.wait 3 seconds and recharge again for another 4 seconds. Once the butane is all out adjust the screw until it is almost all the way closed. The way you vent the lighter is by pressing on the insert until ALL butane is gone.you might have to do this a few times. If you don't then you'll hear and see the butane spew all over the place and you might as well start over because you've just refilled partially with air and that is going to cause more issues. You have to ensure that when you refill that the nozzle has to be perpendicular to the lighter.sometimes if you just put the lighter on a flat surface and then put the nozzle into the orifice and push straight down you can get a good charge/refill. There is one butane I use w/o fail and the nozzle pretty much works all of the time.Vector and it's the 5X butane. Recharging any lighter at times can be a PIA.it can be as simple as the butane itself with the nozzle.
